RICHARD GERE GETS HIS OWN BRUNELLO

The exclusive line of the Brunello by Richard Gere

Tuscany and its wines have seduced yet another star of the silver screen.

According to a recent article in Wine News, Richard Gere is reported to have set his sights on the Brunello di Montalcinoof the Tenuta di San Filippo to launch his own "exclusive line of the famous Tuscan red that will bear the stamp of the "Bedford Post" the beautiful Relais owned by gere in Ney York".

For hi sown label, the Hollywood sex symbol has chosen the vineyard's Le Lucere line, which was recently rated 92/100 by Robert Parker's Wine Advocate.

"The deal will further enhance the Brunello di Montalcino brand for the town, region and the entire country. It confirms how the image of Brunello in the U.S continuoes to be very high" commented Roberto Giannelli, head of San Filippo winery.

Gere is non the first from Hollywood to "personalise" his own Italian wine. Last month, actress Drew Barrymore announced the release of her first wine, a pinot grigio from Italy'sTriveneto region.
